Global Omnichannel is excited to announce that we have launched in Stockholm, Sweden, to respond to growing demand in the Nordic region.
Mats Gunnarsson, CEO of Global Omnichannel, is originally from Sweden. He recognises the need for our type of retail technology services in this region. So he is proud to be expanding Global Omnichannel into his home territory. We continue to work alongside our partner Cegid to deliver end-to-end retail solutions to specialist fashion retailers.
Mats comments, “We were thrilled with the way the business went in Australia. While Australians are some of the world’s leading online shoppers, they also love a bricks-and-mortar experience. Businesses there are well known for rapid adoption of innovative technology. When we entered the retail market there, it was really in need of quality retail solutions that gave a seamless experience to online and in-store shoppers, and the response was amazing.”
With several Nordic folk working in the Global Omnichannel Australia business, the move to the region has been organic and timely. Heading up the Nordics business as VP is Jone Eie, who brings with him a wealth of retail experience. Resident in the region he is joined by Øyvind Finvold, a retail advisory specialist and Per Gunnarson an expert in business intelligence, and will of course be backed up by our global team. Mats continues, “We have been working with Swedish retailers for a year or so now. And we partner with Cegid as the key solution provider in the region. In many ways the markets are similar. The consumers are technically-savvy but also value a personalized shopping experience.”
The main retail partner for Global Omnichannel is Cegid who are one of the world’s retail technology providers for specialist retailers, and work with brands like Gant, Ted Baker and ASICS. In 2016 Cegid were ranked first overall on the annual RIS Software leaderboard (which is an independent North American guide to the best retail technology vendors).

Mats continues “We are proud to have partnered with some of Australia’s leading retailers to support their omnichannel retail goals both here and globally. R.M.Williams is an iconic Australian leather boot manufacturer, who has a very strong online and physical-store presence and place a premium on customer experience. We worked closely with them in the set-up of their innovative flag-ship retail store in New York City, and are currently rolling out technology to their stores globally.
